In additon, Connie educated the patrons concerning general knowledge about rabies, why you should vaccinate pets and the reasoning behind spaying/neutering. Connie even delt with euthanasia of sick, injured and wild (rabies suspects) animals, unadoptable animals, vaccinations of new dogs and cats. In short, Connie made sure that the animals there were maintained in good health, and if the animals were in poor health she dispensed medicine in addition to her physical care. Further, Connie worked for The Animal Place and Muddy Branch Veterinary Hospital. At both places she was a Veterinary Technician. Connie assisted with surgery, took care of patients after surgery, cared for boarded animals and assisted the Doctors with appointments. Connie has 1 dog, 2 cats and 1 fish. Sam is a 2 years old, black Pug; Sadie is 6 months old, and is a DSH Tortoise Shell; Joey, her other cat, is a 6 year old, DSH Brown Tabby with white trim. Finally, Lou (the gold fish), is a few months old; Connie won him at the localcounty fair . Connie said she enjoys dog walking because, "I get to interact with a lot of great dogs (and cats, pet-sitting). There aren't many jobs where you get to be outside all day enjoying every minute of what you're doing." |
